What’s your go-to comfort watch when you don’t want to think too hard?

It’s Friday night, and after a long week it can be surprisingly hard to actually shut your brain off.

What’s your go-to comfort watch when you just want something familiar on in the background? Could be a show, a movie, or even a specific episode you always end up throwing on.

I love a good cooking show ... top-level chef alone with food, cooking it up and dropping science.

For me this is probably Frasier if we're talking shows, though half the time I just pull up YouTube on my TV and watch some of my favorite channels. I'll have Pixel Dan Toy Hunts on or Dice Tower countdowns, something like that.

Almost any show that aired on The CW. Just turn it on and my brain shuts off.

Mostly.

Barring that... Speed. There is something about that movie that is perfect background noise.

I started watching those true crime series and that seems to work for me, but then I spend the next few hours looking up the real people 😂

Criminal Minds. It's such an easy show to watch and I've seen it so many times at this point that I don't have to put much into it at all to follow along.

I haven't seen that one yet, but I'll add it to the list!

lord of the rings (extended editions)

We love Lord of the Rings! We watched the entire series with the kids on a really long camping trip and they fell in love with it! It's time for a rewatch.

I think my go-to has become It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which I've seen 8 bajillion times at this point lol.

That's a great series and we used to quote it all the time! I miss the feeling I had when I watched the first few seasons, it was really special.
