January 11Jan 11 CB Team As the week wraps up, I’m curious what everyone has been watching or reading lately that really caught their attention. It could be a comic you caught up on, a movie you finally watched, or a show you’ve been following. It doesn’t have to be new. Just something that was cool.
January 12Jan 12 CB Team We actually watched The Emoji Movie and Bee Movie and really enjoyed them. I remember Emoji movie getting slammed when it released but it was fun! Nothing earth-shattering but just a fun little animated adventure. Also me, my wife, and Ember started rewatching The Nanny and I forgot how much I loved that show haha.
January 12Jan 12 Oh man, I was pleasantly surprised by the Aliens Vs Avengers miniseries from Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic! It almost felt like fanfic to see some really fun mashing up concepts introduced. Ribic is one of my fave artists, and was surprised they had top tier creators working on this one.Definitely worth a reread.

I wish it were a little longer, but it was still really good. I've considered getting the collected version so it's easier to read instead of flipping through the individual comics.
January 12Jan 12 Author CB Team I’ll throw one in too. I really enjoyed Absolute Batman: Ark-M #1. Ended up grabbing all four covers, which I don’t usually do, but they all looked so good and the story is phenomenal.
January 12Jan 12 CB Team I finally got around to watching Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein (way late to the game), and absolutely loved it!

January 13Jan 13 CB Team Netflix released an adaptation of one of my favorite books, People We Meet on Vacation, on Friday. And I was thrilled to find that it was actually really solid.
