What comic, movie, or show did you enjoy this week?

As the week wraps up, I’m curious what everyone has been watching or reading lately that really caught their attention. It could be a comic you caught up on, a movie you finally watched, or a show you’ve been following.

It doesn’t have to be new. Just something that was cool.

We actually watched The Emoji Movie and Bee Movie and really enjoyed them. I remember Emoji movie getting slammed when it released but it was fun! Nothing earth-shattering but just a fun little animated adventure. Also me, my wife, and Ember started rewatching The Nanny and I forgot how much I loved that show haha.

Oh man, I was pleasantly surprised by the Aliens Vs Avengers miniseries from Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic! It almost felt like fanfic to see some really fun mashing up concepts introduced. Ribic is one of my fave artists, and was surprised they had top tier creators working on this one.

Definitely worth a reread.

I haven’t seen either of those animated movies, but now I need to put those on my list.

I love that series! I wish it were a little longer, but it was still really good. I've considered getting the collected version so it's easier to read instead of flipping through the individual comics.

I’ll throw one in too. I really enjoyed Absolute Batman: Ark-M #1. Ended up grabbing all four covers, which I don’t usually do, but they all looked so good and the story is phenomenal.

That book was excellent!

I finally got around to watching Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein (way late to the game), and absolutely loved it!

I'll have to check it out! I've heard great things about it.
