February 9Feb 9 Quick Question: What do you think about MARVEL Studios breaking its 16-Year trend of releasing a new movie trailer during the Super Bowl? I was anticipating a quick look at Spider-Man: Brand New Day or Avengers: Doomsday yesterday, but what did we get ... TERRIBLE commercials and no MARVEL. I guess that capped off one of the worst Super Bowls I've seen.
February 9Feb 9 CB Team I was surprised they didn't release anything, but maybe that's a good thing. I honestly didn't like any of the commercials and eventually just checked out and stopped watching the game.
February 10Feb 10 I think they just didn’t want to pay for it ! Or they wanted us to want it more too! I think there’s still some trouble at Disney vs Marvel these days … either way the actors and how they control them not to say things ect. I get it keep the lid on it till we are ready but in today’s age of social media there’s a lot that can happen lots of people lots of variables out there that tight lipped or not will spoil it for everyone then again that’s human nature to be curious and ask questions he’ll AI is doing the same ! Then again it’s a take like a grain of salt what are you to believe on the internet these days ! Definitely not all of it ! With CGI it’s so convincing these days !
February 10Feb 10 CB Team I thought it was fine. We just got four Doomsday teasers and the movie's not out until December. They have plenty of time to market it.With Brand New Day, they seem to be following the No Way Home marketing playbook. First No Way Home trailer didn't come out until four months before release day. I'd expect something in March. And then we get a new look at Doomsday in May with Mando and Grogu.
February 10Feb 10 CB Team Super Bowl commercials cost like $10 million for :30 seconds, but we saw how Marvel put a stranglehold on fans through December and January with four teaser trailers. Why spend that money?

February 11Feb 11 I was very much hoping that there would be one for Brand New Day and Doomsday. Once I heard they weren’t going to do it, I checked out and watched other stuff
February 11Feb 11 CB Team It's ultimately fine, but does really confirm that the Super Bowl just aint it anymore. There were awful commercials and subpar trailers compared to what we've gotten in years past, so it might be the final year of its relevance as a big pop culture event. Now it's just really going to be the halftime show that people talk about outside of the game itself.
February 12Feb 12 CB Team Brand New Day never would've been at the Super Bowl. It's a Sony movie, first and foremost, and Sony never shows trailers during the Super Bowl. I expect a teaser for that within the next month, then a full trailer in mid-April at CinemaCon. Or if they're realllyyyyy bold, they'll just do a bunch of photos and posters before a trailer in April.
