I'm not sold on casting Leto, but the trailers are looking fun.

MOTU was before my time, so it's just never been one of my franchises. I'm going to need to hear people saying it's the best film of the summer to even consider it.

Yeah, this. Also, it's sandwiched in between The Mandalorian and Grogu and Disclosure Day, so while I agree with Tom that it looks fun, it's probably not going to win out for me there. Honestly, if I see a movie on that weekend, it's currently more likely to be Scary Movie 😅

I've never been into MOTU, but I agree it looks fun, so I'll probably see it. Mostly so I have context if I have to write any articles about it afterwards lol.

Very curious to see how this does in theaters. June is STACKED with Disclosure Day, Toy Story 5, and Supergirl. Plus you'll have holdover business from Mando and Grogu. Wonder if MOTU will get overshadowed a bit.

I could see it becoming this year's Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Honor Among Thieves is the exact comparison I made to Tom after the trailer dropped, ha. Very similar in that "Fun reimagining of a nerdy 1980s fantasy franchise that's never been successful on the big screen" way

I am 100% in on this. It looks bombastic and absurdly fun, which is exactly what Masters of the Universe should be. I'll be there day 1 at the theater

Never been really into He-Man myself, but always find myself watching He-Man things when they come out. It'll be the same here but wish Leto was putting on the full "nyaaaaaah" Skeletor voice tbh

If it turns out like Honor Among Thieves, it will be great. But I'm not holding my breath, to be honest. When was the last time any movie with Leto was decent?

Oh I'm definitely going to watch this! I wasn't sure about it at first, but the trailers seem fun and could be a great popcorn movie.

There's a bit too much cynicism for my tastes in the marketplace right now. It looks fun, and I'll go see it day 1. If it doesn't land, that sucks, but I'm also not writing it off simply because others in the genre didn't land or one person is in it.
