My wife and daughter went to see it yesterday and really enjoyed it!

We just saw it too and it was amazing! So many callbacks to probably every game they've made 😂 it made me want to replay the originals again. Did you get Yoshi popcorn bucket?

I had to get the Yoshi bucket but the little star buckets were so cool too! If I had unlimited money I would have bought them all 😂 a person could easily spend an entire paycheck at that counter.

I still need to watch the first one, so probably won't make it to theaters this time around. Those popcorn buckets do look great though! Hope you enjoy the movie!

They were both great movies, but the first one had a little more heart to it since it had to tell the origin story, but they were both really fun! You should watch the first one and see if you like it.

I'm going tomorrow! I actually liked the first one; it's the movie equivalent of a sugar rush.

I think you will love it! Part 2 has a callback to pretty much every since Mario title that I'm aware of lol It did some deep callbacks to even Mario 2 on NES, which was a nice touch.

You are not kidding! We also were going to buy the Toothless one, and whenever Toy Story 5 and Supergirl hit I'm sure we'll be picking those up too.

I was looking forward to going to see it with my kids, but they betrayed me and went with their grandma instead. Very rude if you ask me.

I'll likely hold out until it hits a streaming service at this point.

I did love it! Yes, the script is shallow. Yes, things happen for no reason. But it's a nostalgia blast, it's beautiful to look at, and it's casual fun that lands the thrills. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with that.

This movie really made me want to play the original games for NES and Super NES, what are the best ways to play them these days? We have a Switch, but not sure if they have a game pack for all of the old games.

The online subscription for the Switch gives you access to a vast catalogue of NES and SNES games (including every Mario). If you like retro gaming, the subscription is definitely worth it.

Thank you! I'll look into this, I think my son has a subscription for the Switch, which would be perfect!

I like how it brought up lore that even I had forgotten from way back! It makes me want to learn more about the early days. I grew up playing those games but never finished most of them.

Honestly, "nostalgia blast" is all I'm really looking for in these movies!

It's going to be much better in theaters than at home. It's reliant on that visual splendor to keep you engaged, but it's so great at doing so that it deserves to be seen on the biggest screen you can.

I was going to wait to see it until it hits streaming, but maybe I should try to fit in time to see it in theaters!

This is true! It looked so good in theaters. I'm still going to watch it at home when it comes out, but it was nice to see it the first time on the big screen.
