I don't think there's been a month that has more anime arriving within it than January 2026. Which ones are you most looking forward to? Gotta say, finally getting the Culling Game animated with Jujutsu Kaisen season three is a big one for us here.

As the year winds down I've started to gather some thoughts on the best physical media releases in 2025, and I wanted to see what other collectors enjoyed most this year. Any 4K restorations from studios, boutique stuff (like Criterion, Arrow, Shout), or even new releases that just really captured your attention? I'm interested to see if there are any releases I missed this year that people have a lot of love for. Personally, Sony's Monty Python and the Holy Grail 50th Anniversary 4K has been unparalleled for me. There's a lot of great work being done with these restorations, but taking a movie that is almost known for looking bad and mining the original beauty out of it …

Got back from a Predator: Badlands screening and it’s one of the most entertaining movies I’ve seen all year. And I hope people make it out to the theater to see it. Projections look low so far because the box office is pretty weak lately. Of course, Rosalina had to be in the first trailer, given the movie title. We also guessed Bowser Jr. would be in the movie due to the product packaging leak earlier this week... But I was not expecting Mario Odyssey references! Seeing the Sand Kingdom got me genuinely excited! Also, kudos for the fighting sequence with Rosalina.
