Especially true in Gotham! Trailer looks good, nice to see DC putting out different genres like this.

It would be hilarious if one of the additions was watching the Watcher's face observing events :P

I don't think Whedon is ever coming back tbh; he's done. Sadly, like Simon, I suspect Gellar is gone too; she's always been wary, and she's now been burned. Nova, btw, was a bit of a place-holder name - a bit too on-the-nose to be real! It means "new" lol.

Oh, it's a pure cash grab. I will go, but on my limitless ticket lol.

Oh that's the most likely one, agreed, good shout.

Hmmm, a team of eight. Let me see... Cyclops - always my favorite team leader Laura Kinney's Wolverine - the two have an interesting history, given Scott used her as a weapon for a time, much to Logan's anger Magik - I'll always love Illyana Jubilee - another favorite of mine lol, also has a really good dynamic with Laura Juggernaut - really enjoying his current direction, especially friendship with Magik Kitty Pryde - to balance Scott, plus I like her dynamic with Illyana Beast - for scientific genius Quentin Quire - he's increasingly fun with Scott

Yeah. I think even mentioning Doomsday was sadly enough to suck the air out of Mando & Grogu - more indicating how little air there really is. Plus side! I finally saw new Star Wars merch in my local corner shop again today! So... that's promising, at least! If this film is gonna work, Star Wars needs to be everywhere now.

Personally, I thought the new trailer was really impressive. Hope this film does well - I don't feel the marketing has really landed so far, so it really needs a solid push.

Yeah, I'm absolutely gutted for the people involved. I hate layoffs in the first place, but these are some of the best and most talented individuals. It's an appalling blunder.

For me, I don't think "The Day of the Doctor" will ever be beaten - although "The Five Doctors" comes close!

Good call, yeah I think on the whole I agree. Back when Disney took over Fox, I was frustrated because I felt we'd get less "experimental" superhero movies. I'm glad DC is stepping up with them.

Disney's shocking layoffs seem to indicate they're going to stop engaging with physical releases. Absolutely gutting. Yes, I know they have a streaming service, but that'll never replace physical imo.

It'll make money, but not Infinity War or Endgame numbers imo.

Interesting quote, and yeah - concerning. I personally think we're now at a (healthier) point where a superhero film needs an actual hook to perform. Not just a known brand, but something that makes it matter in story terms too.

"One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me I am not mistaken in mine." Doctor Who FTW!

Yeah, I'm fascinated by this decision. I mean, to be fair, Jumanji is weird. It... actually held its own against Star Wars, back when Star Wars was big, so Sony may be gambling on the same. I'll watch it though. Love the first two films.

I had the same April Fools thought lol. While I'm generally excited, I actually hoped Finn Jones would be recast; I wasn't at all a fan of his portrayal, and he soured the entire Defenders era for me. Marvel will need to handle him very well indeed, and this time he will have to actually put in the effort when it comes to fight choreography.

I'm not sold on casting Leto, but the trailers are looking fun.

I'd liked the idea of Firestar, but... the powers in the trailer don't match

Yeah, it was a decent start; did everything it needed to do. Looking forward to seeing where it goes..!

Yeah, to me this is a definite one and done. Not EVERYTHING needs to be a franchise.

Yeah, I mean... I could understand using the darker lighting for the Muggle world. But for the MAGICAL one--?

Oh, I adore La La Land. Looking forward to Starfighter, of course...

Tbh I think they threw too many ideas out at once, so nothing got established. I mean, we're finally seeing Shang-Chi again after HOW MANY years??

Yeah, I'm entirely convinced it's Jean. Maybe with a bit of Rachel's plot tossed in.
