  1. I'm still trying to process the Rob Reiner news. That was deeply upsetting to read. I've been thinking a lot about his films the past couple of days and that incredible run he went on (that Kofi wrote about). He's one of my favorite directors. Let's celebrate the great work he did. What is your favorite Rob Reiner movie? I love so many, but mine would have to be When Harry Met Sally, which is honestly one of my favorite movies of all time in general. I just love the script and the chemistry between Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. I can watch the opening sequence (the drive from Chicago to New York) on a loop. I know he didn't direct it, but also wanted to give a special shout out to Reiner's performance in The Wolf of Wall Street. He was hysterical in that.
  2. No. I don't feel like paying for an Avatar ticket four times just to see a trailer. I'm not a fan of this marketing strategy. I'd rather just one awesome teaser.
  3. GOTG is my favorite sub-franchise in the MCU. I'm a big James Gunn fan. I am 100% on board with the approach for Supergirl. Can't wait to see this
  4. I also wanted to add I'm very happy Pragmata finally got a release date. I've been interested in that since it was announced all the way back at the PS5 reveal event. Looking forward to finally playing it.
  5. If you combine the number of times I played the original Crash Bandicoot and Spyro games on PS1 with the number of times I've played the PS4 remakes, that might be a record that can never be broken. I played those games religiously when I was a kid
  6. As long as we just keep getting more Lobo, doesn't matter to me if it's a solo project or part of an ensemble. I can already tell he's gonna be a highlight
  7. I haven't played Expedition 33, so I was more interested in the reveals. As if I didn't already have enough new games to look forward to, we get announcements for Control 2, Tomb Raider remake, and Star Wars Racer ... and they're all coming in 2026. That sound you hear is my wallet sobbing. I was also excited by the Fate of the Old Republic trailer. I'm admittedly not the biggest RPG gamer, but I'll probably be picking that one up as long as it isn't like a 100+ hour thing
  8. This movie looks awesome. I'm 100% on board with the tone and the vibe. I'm biased because I'm a big James Gunn fan, but I am much more interested in the DCU than the MCU right now. Obviously, I'm still looking forward to Brand New Day and Doomsday, but I'm more excited for Supergirl and Clayface. Probably a byproduct of the DCU still being fresh and carving out its own identity.
  9. Nobody has ever tried to force me to watch a TV show, but my parents have recommended the movie The Birdcage to me multiple times and I still have never watched it.
  10. I don't watch much TV. I think Pluribus is the only new show I've watched this year. Any other were new seasons of pre-existing shows (Andor)
  11. I'm enjoying it. Will's big moment in the last episode was great. Looking forward to the rest. I like watching the characters interact with each other. That's the big draw for me.
  12. I'd like some kind of explanation for why Doom looks like Tony Stark because I've been trying to figure that out since RDJ was announced
  13. This is what I've got on my watchlist on Letterboxd: Project Hail Mary The Mandalorian & Grogu The new Spielberg movie Toy Story 5 Supergirl The Odyssey Clayface Zach Cregger's Resident Evil The Tom Cruise movie directed by Inarritu Dune 3 I also think The Adventures of Cliff Booth is gonna be ready for 2026? Stacked year
  14. This one's for my fellow PlayStation users. The 2025 wrap is now live. Let's share our stats. What were your top games of the year? My top 5 ended up being Horizon: Forbidden West, Ghost of Yotei, Days Gone Remastered, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Doom Eternal. Nice mix of new releases and replays for me. I had been meaning to replay Forbidden West for a while and finally got around to it. Did the Burning Shores DLC too. I was disappointed the wrap didn't have month by month breakdowns like it had in previous years. Maybe they'll add that at the end of December?
  15. In terms of games I've replayed the most, it would most likely be the Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, and Sly Cooper games for PS2. As I waited to get new games between birthdays and Christmases, I would replay my favorites constantly. I still enjoy replaying games today. As a big sports fan, I sunk a lot of hours into Madden and NBA Live too. In my adult life, my most replayed game is Spider-Man 2018. I think I've played that five or six times by now. It's so much fun. The longest I've ever spent on a single playthrough of a single game is Cyberpunk 2077 last year. I enjoyed it, but I'm hesitant to start a replay because it would take me away from other games for so long haha.
  16. Part of me wants to say Catch Me If You Can because that film has a recurring bit where Leo and Hanks talk with each other on Christmas. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is another fun one.
  17. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Lucasfilm had a completed script everyone loved, a production budget, and a shooting schedule in place and Disney turned it down. That makes no sense to me. It's wild. How many unrealized Star Wars projects are there? Lucasfilm finally brings Disney a finished script from one of the best directors working today, and Disney's response is to turn it down. I guarantee you Soderbergh had an explanation for why Ben is still alive that made sense. Instead of passing the Rey/New Jedi Order movie off to like the fifth different writer, just go back to this. Announce it at the next Celebration by bringing Ridley and Driver out on stage and have the crowd go nuts. I'm with you. I love Rey and Kylo/Ben. We should get this movie.
  18. I know the feeling. Sometimes, I look up a game on How Long to Beat, calculate how long it would take me to get through, and then wonder if it's really worth it. There's so much out there to play.
  19. Does Knives Out count as a Netflix property these days? If so, my pitch would be World's Greatest Detectives. Benoit Blanc heads to Gotham and works with Batman on a case.
  20. So, recently, it was announced a "newly restored" version of the theatrical cut of Star Wars will be shown in theaters for the 50th anniversary screenings. That's exciting. It's cool to see Lucasfilm embrace the theatrical cut after years of casting it aside, so I'm wondering, do you think this is a sign there are plans to give the unaltered trilogy a release on home media? Or is this just a special thing for the 50th anniversary re-release. As a 1990 baby, I grew up with the special editions (that was how I saw Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi for the first time), but I think it would be cool if the unaltered editions got a proper wide release. I know the special editions are what's considered canon, but if we can have 5 cuts of Blade Runner on Blu-ray, there's no reason why we can't have multiple versions of Star Wars.
  21. Maybe that rumored God of War 2D Metroidvania game? I'll take anything from the first party PlayStation Studios. Last year, Intergalactic was the biggest reveal for me
  22. I really enjoyed it. Big fan of this series. Will definitely give it a rewatch when it hits home media. Hopefully it doesn't take another 9 years to make the third movie
  23. I picked up Metal Gear Solid Delta and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance during PlayStation Store sales, so I'll be making my way through those.
  24. Can't wait to watch Dune: Part 3 on my phone, just as Denis Villeneuve intended.
  25. Another popular fan pick (Brandon Sklenar) just said it would be a dream to join the DCU. That got me wondering. Who do you want to see as the DCU's Batman? Do you want one of these big fan castings (Alan Ritchson)? Go with an unknown? Just incorporate Pattinson into the DCU for simplicity's sake? Might be a cop out answer, but I don't really have a preference. Gunn's always been great with casting, so I trust whoever he picks. It'll probably be someone who isn't on the radar. I don't think Corenswet was at the top of the Superman list early on.
