Feels like one of the first times that a major fan theory for a comic book show was not only on the money, but the reveal didn't feel cheap at all. Can't wait to see what happens the next two episodes because there's a lot to explore in just an hour.

Didn't pull any punches! I enjoyed how it put all the characters in different, difficult situations.

Okay, what I need to know is:

"...A bear-sized man with dragon skin butt-fucking a glowing twink with cartoon eyes."

Who are they.

Killer Croc maybe? But who glows and has cartoon eyes??

Okay, just outstanding episode. This is one of those times where we were all right about it the whole time, but it still felt fulfilling the way the show did the reveal.

Also, Lex? Yes. He’s gonna escape to set up the next Superman movie.

I’m trying to figure out who the twink with the cartoon eyes is.

I KNEW THAT THE TOP TRIO WERE GOING TO BE EVIL! But even so, Gunn did such a masterful job in revealing it! Also getting Lex was an epic surprise - totally agree that the transfer will lead to an escape for Man of Tomorrow.

I'm just so curious now if we're going to get Superman. I thought I heard Corenswet's voice when they were taking someone out of handcuffs in the next episode preview...but why would Superman be in handcuffs? Any other ideas on who "the guy" is?

The twist has felt obvious for a few weeks now, but the reveal was still super effective. Felt like a riff on Alfred Hitchcock's bomb theory. There was enough to clue the audience in that something was off about the alternate reality and we were just waiting for the characters to catch up. I can't wait for the last two episodes.

It was the best episode of season 2 so far. We all knew something was off with the alternate universe, especially regarding people of color, but the American flag was really unexpected for me. I can feel the next two episodes will be Outstanding already.

Also, Vigilante's character is so dope. I just love the guy and his humour always cracks me up. Definitely, he is going to be a key element in helping the 11th Street Kids get to safety.

Amazing episode, was crafted perfectly, with all the theories I was yelling at Adebayo to run back inside before the reveal, was so nervous and still am. Makes me super excited for the future.

I knew something was up when Peacemaker‘s dad was nice. There had to be a catch. Episode 6’s reveal is both a perfect explanation for that particular point (no one he blindly hates is part of the Smith family’s community) and a great way to kick off some more internal conflict for Peacemaker

James Gunn is a master of comic book content I knew that reveal of this Earth was coming but it was done so masterfully, but who is the prisoner they teased for next week?

Gunn has actually said it wasn't the comics that inspired this, but The Man in The High Castle (novel, not tv show) so while the comics definitely ties nicely, it sounds like he had a much broader vision for it which is always very cool to see.

The sign of quality in Gunn's work is that it is exactly the interpersonal/internal conflicts that hold the most stakes for this final stretch of S2 – NOT the "What does it mean for the DCU???" talk or any other hollow, spectacle-based climax.

Chris facing his alt-family.

Chris having to reconcile choosing that world over his own life.

Chris and Harcourt having to reconcile his choosing that version of her

Chris having to face that, in any universe, his family is trash

These are the reasons I'll be on the edge of my seat.
