What are some of your favorite conventions?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm Skye. I found myself in a new city, and I'm looking forward to my first C2E2 this year! I generally try to get in at least NYCC every year, and sometimes SDCC, or various other gaming/comic/anime cons throughout the country.

What are some of y'all's favorite cons and why?

For me, it is probably between NYCC for the community I had built there and its amazing Artist Alley every year, and SDCC for all of the exciting announcements, and of course, the parties/freebies and shopping.

Hi Skye! I haven't gotten a chance to attend any of the bigger conventions like NYCC and SDCC, unfortunately. I have been to my local con (Steel City Con in Pittsburgh). For a smaller con, I feel like they always have a pretty solid roster of celeb attendees and I always find something nice in the artist alley. Plus, it's kind of nice to have that smaller experience since I can get pretty overwhelmed with crowds.

I haven’t ever been but have always wanted to go. This year my grandson and I (who have the same birthday) gave each other tickets to SC Comicon which is in April. It looks pretty good and for a first Con we are really looking forward to it. San Diego is the one we really want to go to.

I've been to a handful of SDCCs and Star Wars Celebration one year. I'm a big Star Wars fan, so that was probably my favorite overall con experience. But SDCC was a ton of fun too. Got to see a couple of Marvel panels. I spent a lot of time in Hall H.

I don't go to many conventions just because of schedule constraints, but Planet Comic Con in Kansas City is one I've enjoyed for years -- even when it was still a small con (it's much, much bigger now.)

I haven't been to too many conventions, but I did have a great time when I went to Motor City Comic Con a while back. I also love show-specific conventions – it's always fun to be around a community of fans who love the same things you do!
