  1. I’ve always wanted to try cosplay but never fully committed. We’ve been to a few comic cons over the years, and I want to start going more regularly and this time actually participating. I’ve always loved TMNT, so I was thinking of doing a Shredder or Casey Jones. Or maybe even my security guard character from Fantastic Four. I’d need something relatively easy for a first attempt since I don’t have any experience making costumes yet. What are some other characters that would be good for a beginner? I’d love ideas that look great but don’t require a ton of complex materials or armor-building skills.

  2. Hello, I'm writing to you today as a long-time fan of Pokémon to respectfully suggest an idea for the franchise's 30th anniversary. I believe a high-quality redub of the original classic Pokémon anime, produced by a studio like Studiopolis, would be a fantastic way to celebrate. My vision for this redub would be to: Keep the established English character and Pokémon names. Use the original Japanese opening and ending songs, but with English credits and an English logo. New English singers for the songs could also be a nice touch. Ensure the dialogue is clean, kid-friendly, and free of inappropriate language or swearing, maintaining the show's classic, wholesome tone. Keep…

With the constant stream of remakes and reboots of existing IP, or expansions of existing media properties into new media formats, it feels like nowadays investments in new IP are far less frequent then decades ago in favor of safer bets on monetizing nostalgia from the 80s, 90s, and early 00s. So I think that begs the question: what (relatively) new IP that's had content released/announced within the last year or so has you the most excited? What project or format (video game, animated/live action show, movie, novel, comic book, etc) are you most excited for? For me, I'd have to say Exodus is probably the new IP I find most exciting. And I can't wait for the video game …

I'd love to see what kind of comic collections other readers have! With more and more omnibuses, trade paperbacks, and mangas being published all the time, I'm sure some people have awesome collections to share! And this community will be able to appreciate them :) I'll start by sharing my collection!

  5. News Here: https://comicbook.com/movies/news/scary-movie-6-horror-movie-spoofs-marlon-wayans-response-comments/ I personally cannot wait to the Get Out spoof in this movie - that movie is already so weirdly creepy that seeing it blown out further by the Wayans will be great.

  6. You’d get their powers, reputation, and influence, but also their enemies, struggles, and responsibilities.

  7. This isn't me attempting to flame Solo Leveling fans. A-1 Pictures has done a fine job with the urban fantasy action premise, and it's a gorgeous sight to behold, whether in anime form, its gorgeous manhwa courtesy of studio REDICE, or even its original novel format. The series is fine. But it should be considered the gateway, and this is where its staunchest fans seem to completely stop themselves from pushing further. Seriously, Solo Leveling is an engaging premise, but it's also familiar, and the protagonist at its heart, Sung Jinwoo, isn't even the best protagonist you can get in a power fantasy like this. He is the quintessential one we all know, but that is not a de…

  8. With rumors that Chris Evans' Steve Rogers may be returning in the next Avengers movie, which of the OG Avengers (alive or dead) are you most hyped to see return - even if they aren't yet confirmed?

More of a generic Trek ... thought, but is anyone else of the opinion that crossbreeds or hybrids should be a rarity in Trek? I feel characters like Spock, Ziyal, B'Elanna etc would've been far more unique if they were a fluke, in that crossbreeding should be a rarity or a genetic anomaly rather than mere chance or intervention. This stems from the hybrids that we're scheduled to meet in the academy show; if hybrids are a common occurrence then the specific traits of the individual species are (I feel) more lost on us. I know (per TNG The Chase) we're all arguably distant cousins anyway, but it's not like we're talking across continents here; we're talking across space. T…

  10. I’ve really been enjoying what Geoff Johns is building with the Geiger universe over at Image. I love Geiger, Junkyard Joe, and Rook: Exodus. The Blizzard is another great book from the same group. I’m glad they resumed Rook: Exodus because issue #7 was really good and it feels like the story is finally picking up again. The new warden at the end of the issue was a nice surprise. I haven’t read Redcoat yet, but it’s on my list. This whole universe has been surprisingly consistent. It feels like Johns is slowly building Image’s own connected world, and it’s been a lot of fun to read. I went a little crazy early on and bought several copies and variants of the first Geiger …

  11. ... but Batman: Dark Patterns is actually the best Batman book being published right now, and too many people are sleeping on it. Anyone else reading this?

  12. I’ve been replaying some older superhero games lately, and it reminded me how good Marvel: Ultimate Alliance was. The roster, the team combos, the storylines, and the overall style really captured that crossover energy we still don’t see often in modern Marvel games. My son and I have great memories of playing that game together. My wife and I played it a lot too, and it was one of those rare games that brought the whole family in. My son got Ultimate Alliance 3 on the Switch, but he hated it. It just didn’t have the same tone or replay value as the originals. He’s wanted the Gold Edition of the first game for years because of the extra characters, but it’s impossible to …
