I just finished reading these five Spider-Man ’94 volumes, and I honestly felt the need to share my thoughts here. I loved the story from start to finish, but the ending really got to me emotionally. It genuinely brought a few tears to my eyes, and moments like that are a big reason why Spider-Man has always meant so much to me. I grew up with Spider-Man, especially the 90s era, and reading this felt like reconnecting with that version of the character — the one that balances heroics with heart, vulnerability, and humanity. I’m also curious: is anyone else here following these comics? I’m not even sure how many people are reading this run, so I’d love to hear from others…

There are plenty of big, well-known runs that get talked about all the time, but I’m curious about the ones that don’t come up as often. Is there a comic run you really enjoyed that you feel doesn’t get enough attention? Could be Marvel, DC, indie, short-lived, or even something that flew under the radar when it released.

Highguard finally released today and is the latest free-to-play hero shooter in a very competitive landscape. What are your early thoughts on it if you've been playing? And do you think it has the staying power to be relevant for years to come? I'm looking forward to trying it later and I'm curious what others are thinking.

A lot of modern reboots seem really focused on recreating how certain movies or franchises felt when we first saw them, especially ones from the ’80s and ’90s. Sometimes that nostalgia works, and other times it just doesn’t land the same way. Do you think that feeling is something studios can actually recreate, or was it more about where we were as fans and as a society at the time? Are there any reboots you think struck the right balance, or ones that clearly missed the mark for you?

With some massive (and scary) winter weather coming for a large chunk of the US this weekend, it sounds like a lot of us are going to be snowed in -- or at least dealing with temperatures so cold we won't want to leave the house. It's a prime opportunity to do some fun nerdy things (provided the electricity holds). What fun nerdy things are on your snowpocalypse agenda?

After years of waiting, what many fans have been asking for is finally confirmed: the return of the Dragon Ball Super anime with the long-awaited adaptation of the Moro Arc, also known as The Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga. This arc, which until now only existed in the manga, is one of the darkest and most intense stories in Super. The plot expands the scale to a truly galactic level, with the Galactic Patrol playing a central role and Moro emerging as a very different kind of threat, an ancient, ruthless villain whose abilities push even the strongest warriors to their limits. Goku and Vegeta are back in action, but this time the conflict goes beyond pure brute strength.…

I finally got around to watching Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, and what stood out to me most was how the movie is told in two parts. The first focuses on Victor, and then the story really opens up once we start seeing things from the Creature’s point of view. It felt less like a traditional monster movie and more like a back-and-forth between creator and creation. A lot of the weight comes from perspective, guilt, and consequences rather than big horror moments, which made it feel closer to the spirit of the original novel. Curious what everyone thought about that approach. How did you feel about the split perspective, and where would you rank this among other Franke…

We know they're going to make another one. Cameron has confirmed he's been tapped to write it, but is that even the right move at this point? I get it, every version without him has largely failed, but the series also seems to be stuck. It needs some new juice. I think they should follow the Predator path and go further back in time. I'm not interested in a modern-set film in the series. Gimme a '60s Terminator, or even better, 1860s.

Blizzard has just launched this video looking back at their last 35 years and teasing what's next. What's everyone hoping to see? I'm the resident Overwatch person at ComicBook so I'm stoked to see what updates are coming for that, but furthermore I hope StarCraft finally gets something going (though probably not til BlizzCon)

Hi I’m not really a hardcore comic fan, but I like comic books a lot for their stories and visuals. I’m working on a small project where I use short comic scenes as a visual reference, and AI-generated reinterpretations of them, to talk about ideas from Stoicism — things like choice, control, responsibility, fear, conscience. It’s not about explaining the plot or replacing the original art. The comics are more like a starting point, and the focus is on the philosophical idea behind the situation. I know AI is a sensitive topic for a lot of people, so I’m genuinely curious how this approach feels from a comic reader’s point of view. Does it feel like an interesting way to …
