Hello all! Looking for some suggestions. I’m doing an informative speech on a DC Comicbook or superhero or villian from DC lore for my speech class and need some ideas. I’m looking to do someone of lesser known status. I have the DC encyclopedia of characters I just haven’t had to chance to go through it. Wanted to see what you guys had in mind so I have a starting place. Thanks in advance !

I was always selling my action figures at garage sales because I wanted new things. In hindsight, I should have kept a bunch of that stuff: Entire set of the original hard head TMNT figures. Thundercats team plus Mummra and Thunderclaw Loads of G1 Transformers (thankfully I kept my G1 Optimus and trailer - plus Grimlock) Might Morphin’ Megazord, Dragonzord, and Titanus Anything you wish you’d hung on to now that’s worth real money? Or you just wish you still had?

What’s one movie plot hole on which you simply cannot suspend disbelief? Bonus points if you can name one in your favorite movie! I’ll go! In the original Jurassic Park, Grant and Ellie are holding the door to keep the velociraptor out of the control room while Lex tries to bring the phones back online. Timmy is just tapping on Lex’s chair. Grant asks Ellie to try to reach the shotgun on the floor. Ellie tries but can’t reach it without moving away from the door. Why didn’t Grant just ask Timmy to grab it for them?

So. There's going to be a new Sharknado movie, a prequel from what it sounds like. Do we really need one? And how exactly will this work after the way the "last" one ended?

Jon Kent might be a great addition to the Superman Family. Might, if they don’t mess it up. His birth was a joyous moment. The Super Sons era was perfect, very entertaining. Then, “Whoopie!” Bendis appears, shaking things up and reintroducing the Legion of Superheroes. This was great, I can’t believe I actually missed the gang of temperamentally altruistic teens. Superboy steps into the foreground and creates the United Planets. Superboy also hooks up with Saturn girls. Which, in my book, is a bonus. Hilarity ensues when he brings Damian to the future. There is some panic and heavy foreshadowing of some dark time in the latest Robin’s future, and it ain’t good. Superboy r…

Action Comics #1 just broke its own record - this time with a near-mint (9.0) grade and a $9 million auction price. https://comicbook.com/comics/news/86-years-after-its-release-a-rare-superman-comic-just-became-the-most-expensive-ever-by-a-huge-margin/ Anyone ask Nicolas Cage if he's attended any auctions lately? Got me thinking: what's the most valuable comic (or collectible) in your collection? Mine is a 9.0 Spider-Man #300 (First Full Appearance of Venom)

There was definitely a narrative reason why this week's episode of the series marked the first time that Bill Skarsgard appeared as Pennywise, but I can't help but feel like his absence had more to do with not completing his deal to appear in the series until a certain amount of time into production, could just be the cynical part of me there. Anyone else feel like they waited too long to bring him in or was that the right amount of time?

With Stranger Things about to end, all of the streaming platforms probably see an opening to take the top spot. I think Netflix has two candidates in One Piece and Wednesday, but Apple TV has so many heavy hitters as well. If you have any dark horses, sound off below!

I went to MEGACON last year and was quite overwhelmed! It was the first CON I had ever been to and I’ve been collecting since the late 70’s. I already have my ticket for this coming March in Orlando!
