What Movie or TV Show That You Saw as a Kid Still Haunts You?

Featured Replies

It would have to be Poltergeist. That scene in the bathroom where the guy basically claws his face off (he just thinks he does) was chilling and unexpected. I try not to think about it:)

It's not the It miniseries as a whole, but specifically the scene where Pennywise comes out of the drain. That terrified me as a kid and still creeps me out as an adult. It's really not all that scary, but something about it sketches me out so bad.

Jim Henson’s Labyrinth genuinely scared me as a kid and I still haven’t watched it again as an adult

Oh man, I think I blocked Labyrinth out of my memory for several years (it's really good when you're an adult, though.)

I think it was the Nightmare on Elm Street where Freddy has a son or something? Accidentally saw a scene of it at like 2AM and it ruined me for a couple of years for whatever reason haha

I am legit a weirdo and none of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies ever messed with me but I can see how that particular one scarred you for, haha

don't hug me im scared....im not even sure how my sister and I stumbled across it, but personally had nightmares for years afterwards ahah. Did come back to it a couple years later though, enjoyed it!

Another one for me (seriously) is Muppets from Space. My lasting memory of that movie is me sobbing in the theater because I really thought Gonzo was going to leave the Muppets at the end (I was like 8 at the time, I didn't know any better). I'm fairly certain I have never rewatched it.
