I do not care about accents or accuracy. This is a movie with cyclops and mermaids. HOWEVER, Nolan likes to underline historical accuracy as one of his artistic goals, which in this case is absolutely nonsensical. I think the friction comes from there.

Yeah, that's true. I also like how they are throwing in one "free" digital game with the more expensive Switch. It's a nice way to balance the blow of increased hardware prices.

I'm betting it's a Secret Six movie. Peacemaker Season 2 ended with the creation of Checkmate, and the Waller series is still in development. So, Secret Six, being a pet project of Waller in the comics, connected to espionage and black ops, feels like the natural progression of this storyline. I can even see the Waller series being folded into the movie.

Damn, moving Tombstone from Brand New Day to Born Again Season 3 would slap! I really like this idea!

Fisk is gone, Bullseye is employed, and while they are both returning to Season 3 to some extent, I hope they'll just play minor roles. We have some Defenders-era villains who could return, like Mary or EWlektra. But who would you like to see in the MCU? Personally, I think Ikari has a lot of potential!

Dan Aykroyd, who wrote and starred in the original Ghostbusters, is now executive producing the Netflix series. What do you think of the project? Imo, Ghostbusters has always been more successful in animation, and I don't like the spectacle-first approach of the sequels/reboots. Also, Netflix has released some pretty great animation in the past years. What do you think?

I read the Absolute Superman (which was good, not great), and the new Fraction Batman (which was awesome!). I still need to find the time to read Fall of the House of Slaughter and If Destruction Be Our Lot, hopefully this evening.

Honestly? No. Maybe if it gets a discount someday. I think the gameplay of the original Star Fox 64 didn't age that well, and this remake is apparently keeping the gameplay intact. I feel that's a missed opportunity. I would love a remake à la Resident Evil, where they streamline the gameplay to remove the clunkiness.

Recently, a comic collector got an official grading mislabeling their Action Comics #1 reprint as a 1938 original. IN this case, it's a label error, not a comic exchange. But just imagine if someone sends you a comic worth $15 million by mistake! These are the what-if scenarios that tell me I'm no superhero material 🤣

For curiosity's sake, I took a peek at the biggest hitters of the 1990s, in box office terms. Titanic, Independence Day, The Matrix, Home Alone, Pretty Woman, The Lion King, Jurassic Park... Yes, The Phantom Menace is there and is not a great movie, but it feels a bit more diverse when compared to the Marvel era.

I guess giving two seasons in advance is a nice compromise. However, that needs to be clear. I still remember 1899. Netflix bought the idea for a three-season story, so of course, the creators left a massive cliffhanger at the end of the first season. Then the series got cancelled, and, last I heard, they are not even allowed to shop it elsewhere. Creators need to know in advance how much time they have and what metrics they must achieve, so they can plan around it.

I also agree that an animated show would be better. Absolute Batman, in particular, is so over the top that translating that into live-action would be inherently less cool than just making things even more absurd with animation. Bane alone is a MAJOR argument for animation.

Yeah, at this point, with so many things delayed or derailed, a crossover movie might be better. We still haven't seen the Werewolf by Night characters again, and Blade needs to appear before Mahershala Ali retires.

ComicBook recently had an interview with Jeremy Slater, where he explained how Oscar Isaac is still attached to Moon Knight. Where do you want to see the character appear next? I personally would love a second season of Moon Knight that would explore Jake Lockley (and how his mystic suit would be). However, I'm also excited about the possibility of Midnight Sons becoming a major crossover event that can feature the return of Werewolf by Night and Man-Thing. What about you?

I still visit my local comic book store regularly. It's a nice way to support small businesses while getting comics, and you also get to meet new people who are as passionate about comics as you.

My shop here in France gave 2 away to anyone, regardless of whether people were buying stuff. They also gave additional comics depending on how much you spent, with no upper limit. I didn't spend much; I just grabbed some Assorted Crisis Events singles with the new covers. Still, I got a bunch of stuff, plus a Waitu pop as a gift. I got Something is Killing the Children and Minotaur by choice, and just asked a random haul for the rest.

I keep returning to FromSoftware's entire library, Zelda, and Mario... I played every game in these franchises multiple times
