Yeah I'm with kristyne. I have no doubt it will be at least compelling, but I can't help but think it was a desperation heave and may not be good for Doom as a character in the long run.

It's funny that the story itself seems like it could have easily been the structure of another season. Wonder if that was ever the plan.

Last we heard, Todd was still beating the drum for the feature film reboot, but that seems completely DOA as it did when he first started talking about it a decade ago.

This is the biggest reason they won't let it happen, sadly. Ironically, the arrival of Damian Wayne was the biggest shake-up for him in quite some time, and it reenergized the Batman family in a major way, you'd think they'd be willing to experiment further.

Was thinking about this for Valentine's Day yesterday and how DC won't let Batman get married. I get -why- but also, I think it adds a new layer to all of his stories, especially if it's not someone else in the game ala Catwoman or Talia. What heroes should be married or locked down for good that the publisher won't let?

It's wild how the color version looks like a cheap streaming show and the black & white actually adds some depth to it all. I'm sure all of us will end up being wrong and the color version will be what everyone else watches though 😂

I'm the right age to have never known a time when the Ninja Turtles weren't around, so I'm curious what others think about how Paramount-Skydance is now treating the franchise. I'm certainly happy they want to invest a lot in it and cater to fans of all ages, but developing a new live-action movie alongside the Mutant Mayhem sequel feels like oversaturation could be brewing. On top of that, they ditched Playmates for Mattel as the master toy license holder. In short, big change is coming in the next two years for TMNT, not all of it good I worry.

Depends! There are a few artists whose work I buy specifically if they do a variant, like Jenny Frison and Artgerm, though, even if I don't read the book.

I'll echo a lot of other voices here that it was the funny pages in the newspaper, but that gave way to collections of Calvin and Hobbes becoming a staple. That said, the 90s animated shows for Batman, X-Men, and Spider-Man opened me up to superhero comics in a big way, too. So I have to give them both equal credit.

I'm more excited now that they've confirmed they're actually doing Noir-inspired versions of Marvel characters like Silvermane, Sandman, and Black Cat. I was worried that rights issues would keep them from it.

I use Marvel Unlimited and love it. I'm in the midst of trying to read every issue of Daredevil, and it has ALMOST everything. It's genuinely a game-changer compared to what it was like even just ten years ago with how much is available.

I'm not sure it's YouTuber movies specifically, but I think it's moreso that indie film is on its way to having a proper resurgence.

Super Bowl commercials cost like $10 million for :30 seconds, but we saw how Marvel put a stranglehold on fans through December and January with four teaser trailers. Why spend that money?

I thought they did a good job of re-capturing that feel of the old series, having re-watched a lot of it on D+. That said, the Kermit voice was the only thing that felt off, it's pitched a little higher than expected and kind of took me out any time he spoke. Granted, when he sang, it sounded fine!

It's either Halloween ('78) or Jurassic Park, with the edge being given to the dinosaurs because I was the exact right age when that one came out.
