End of year movie release: What are you looking forward to?

Featured Replies

What upcoming movies to end the year are you most excited about?

I am looking forward to Zootopia and Wicked For Good as family movies at the end of November.

My son is really excited about Five Nights at Freddy's 2, so we plan to see it at the start of December.

I am also REALLY excited about Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair.

However, this year's Christmas movies seem blah. Sure, there is Avatar: Fire and Ash, but nothing else really screams Christmas Day theater trip.

What are you looking forward to?

If I have to pick one, Avatar: Fire and Ash is the one that sticks out. Nothing beats Cameron going all out on the big screen.

Yeah, that is clearly the best Christmas movie this year. James Cameron rarely disappoints. It's also really the only movie that I think my wife, our son, and I would all be interested in going to see on our annual Christmas Day theater trip.

Wicked: For Good. I've been looking forward to this since last year. It is, thus far, the only movie on my "must watch" docket for this end of year time period. I might end up going to Zootopia with the kiddo, but that's a big if since he's still kind of obsessed with watching Superman on streaming.

Avatar: Fire & Ash will no doubt be incredible. We're also gonna have a Wicked watch party before For Good — I love me a movie musical.

Marty Supreme. That trailer felt like everything exciting about this current film wave A24 has spearheaded while also feeling like the kind of movie we all remember renting numerous times at the video store and our dads falling asleep to while it was on TNT. It looks like a timeless kind of movie that we don't get much of anymore and I hope the film itself captures that.

I was not really excited for The Way of Water and was surprised by how much it pulled me back into that world.

Yes! To be fair, I wasn't a fan of the first Avatar and only went to see The Way of Water because I had to write about it for work... And I left the screening completely shocked that the movie was that good. I'm excited about Fire and Ash.
