Now that we're in 2026, what's one piece of movie news you're hoping to see over the next 12 months? For me, it would have to be some kind of update on the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes sequel. I'm a big fan of the reboot series and want to see what comes next.

An Apes sequel not having any momentum is nuts to me, so that's on my list as well.

For me it's the Halloween franchise. The 50th anniversary is in two years now, meaning they're absolutely going to reboot it again, and to get it out on time they'll likely start talking about it this year.

Sonic 4, Sonic full animated movie with the current voice cast and Detective Pikachu sequel or new live action Pokemon movie based on the anime in style of Detective Pikachu with Tyranitar, Rattata, Murkrow, Scizor, Machamp, Smoochum, Sudowoodo and Lucario.

I need a Shang-Chi 2 release date like there's no tomorrow. That feeling is probably only going to get stronger as marketing for Doomsday ramps up.

I go into every year with dreams of a Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves sequel. Other than that, I'd like to see something interesting from Marvel, but I'm a bit doubtful.

Something with the Nintendo/Sega cinematic universe. Waiting for them to finally cross over.

That movie did not get nearly enough love. It's so good!

I would love to get some concrete news on the new Power Rangers movie. The live-action series is getting most of the news now, but there is one in development at Paramount, and I'd love to see it move forward. The other big news reveal would be some actual information on the Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover film.

This movie is criminally underrated! I'm still angry about the low box office performance.

Halloween is honestly what I'm waiting on, too. There's no way they don't reboot it with the milestone 50th anniversary coming up. Curious to see what exactly they do with any future movies, though.
