Favorite season of Stranger Things?

Featured Replies

We've been talking so much about Season 5 that I only think it's fair that we look at the series as a whole. What is your favorite season and your favorite moments from an all-time show?

I think at this point as a whole, Season 4 is probably my favorite season, followed by season 1 and then season 5, with season 2 and then season 3 rounding out the list. Granted, I love them all, but that would be my ranking.

Season 3 because Scoops Troop. I love everything about the Steve and Robin friendship.

I still have Steve in his Scoops Ahoy hat as my Netflix profile picture.

I think 3 gets far too much hate. The battle at the mall is so fun.

I genuinely loved it all, start to finish, but season 4 was an experience like no other. Twists and turns, that iconic "Running Up That Hill" moment, Vecna's debut and Hawkins Lab backstory. Just perfect.

For me, the best season is Season 4.

It’s the strongest one overall Vecna is the scariest and best developed villain in the entire series, the tone is much darker and more mature, and the parallel storylines are actually worth watching. On top of that, it has so many iconic moments (Max + Kate Bush ). It almost feels like an ’80s horror movie rather than just a teen show.

Season 1 is still my favourite, but it's basically a different show from everything that came after. From there, I think Season 4 is the (almost) perfect form of what the show became/wanted to be, and the Max/Running Up That Hill scene is the show's greatest moment

Gotta be Season 1, because I think it grew too big in scale as it went on. In order, I'd go:

Season 1

Season 3

Season 4

Season 5

Season 2

I 100% support this ranking! I think Stranger Things Season 2 completely changed the series' scope and direction, which makes it the messiest of them all. Season 3 has the best balance of mythology and character. Season 4 began to put mythology before character, a trend that Season 5 followed.
