July 2Jul 2 CB Team I've been thinking about this a lot lately because there are a lot of movies that I think would have been rad to have seen open in theaters in their day but like, you know, I was either a kid or not born or whatever. What movie do you wish you could have seen on opening day -- and if you could time travel to do it would?

July 2Jul 2 CB Team Texas Chain Saw or Halloween, for me, but it would be just as wild to go see something like Psycho or Night of the Living Dead with audiences that hadn't seen them before too.
July 2Jul 2 CB Team It'd be Lord of the Rings for me, I think. I was in fact alive at the time, but I was a smidge too young to be aware of the first movie when it hit theaters and I feel like that would've just felt so epic.
July 3Jul 3 CB Team Probably Star Wars. I would love to see everyone's reaction before the series was what we know today.
July 3Jul 3 CB Team Lord of the Rings would also be a great choice, I'm sure it looked great on the big screen!

Not Fellowship (I didn't get into the series until after Fellowship was out on DVD). I wish I coulda seen that one on the big screen too. The prologue alone would be epic.

July 4Jul 4 This is an obvious choice for me. I would suit up as Batman, but not for fun—I’d travel back in time to the Century 16 theater in Aurora, Colorado. I'd buy a ticket to the midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises and enjoy the first few minutes of the movie. Then I’d slip away to stop the horrible event from ever happening that night and save the innocent. The real Batman usually refuses to alter history, but in this case, I'm breaking his rules. July 10Jul 10 I have actually asked Santa to let me put on a tux and travel back to Hollywood. To the opening of Casablanca. To the red carpet at Grauman’s Chinese Theater. 1942, To sit right behind Bogart and Bergman, and proudly watch Nazis get their ass handed to them, during the War.
