  1. Hey everyone! This is the first of (hopefully) many rundowns, results, and polls for WWE SmackDown moving forward. If you want to sound off on your favorite moment of the night, the worst moment of the night, or anything in between, this is the place to do so! If you need to catch up on what happened, you can also check out my full Hits & Misses rundown right here. I'll start things off. My fave moment of the night was the Cena apology, just because it's so intrinsic to who Cena is. This was pure babyface Cena at his finest, and he made a truly unreal moment for one of his biggest fans in the process. Plus, it actually makes sense in storyline, so you really can't bea…

  2. Really loved the first few issues of Hickman's run on Ultimate Spider-Man, but I've started to turn on it the longer it goes. The storytelling feels like it's not building to anything proper, with each arc just ending with a major surprise for the sake of it. Don't get me wrong, some of the twists have been cool (I liked the Mysterios reveal), but otherwise, each issue seems like it's trying to throw a wrench in the established Spider-Man mythos just to play with reader expectations and not much else. Compelling characterization is falling by the wayside, especially when it comes to Peter. Am I wrong?

  3. Gaming · Started by Jamie Lovett,

I won't claim to have played a ton of new releases this year, but I feel pretty comfortable making Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 my pick. In fact, it's up there with my top games of the decade so far.

  4. Just a few months left of 2025, but there are some pretty big games still on the way. I know for me, Digimon Story: Time Stranger is high on the list, along with Witchbrook, provided it actually hits that winter 2025 release mark. What games are you still looking forward to for the rest of the year?

  5. We're halfway through Alien: Earth, and if you've been watching, you know that the ending of Episode 4 confirms a major game-changing twist Noah Hawley is throwing into the franchise. (IYKYK) SPOILERS: How do you all feel about what the show is doing with Wendy & the Xenomorphs? Is it a cool new avenue to explore? Or is it potentially bad for the Alien franchise to have this kind of thing on the table?

  6. Given that this is likely the most consequential fight to the overarching plot, and that we'll see Odin in action as he fights Sakata Kintoki, I personally suspect that they'll keep the plot suspended a bit longer by giving Odin the W, especially since Göll is AWOL and there's an unnamed valkyrie still in play before Brunhilde joins the fight herself. Odin is far too clearly the big bad of the series, and it'd feel weird to make him kick the bucket in a fight (however I do love a chaotic twist). Kintoki serves the plot far more effectively earlier on by seeking out Siegfried, who surely comes into play after the events of the tournament, whichever direction that winds up …

  8. I've been reading Record of Ragnarok's manga for years at this point, eagerly following each development (even if the trajectory is predictable) because I think, deep down, my battle shonen-loving heart craves tournament arcs stretched into an entire seinen series. Azychika's coordinated team effort to convey an incredible array of dynamic and wonderfully weird renditions of mythological gods and historical heroes, warriors, soldiers, and more. It's a series I happily devour every month, each time Monthly Comic Zenon blesses up, especially with the latest conclusion of Round 11. It feels like just yesterday it was still Round 10 and I was cheering for Soji Okita, but here…

  9. Movies · Started by MKdad,

Interested to see the takes on this. It is made up of a fair amount of strong parts and acting. Good close of the trilogy. But the bizarre (huge) timeline jumps threw me off so much. But maybe didn't with others? Will say... that opening scene was pure 🔥 --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkNV9yUspls

  10. Comics · Started by Marcus H,

There's plenty of retcons that are stupid, terrible, or great, but I feel like we don't talk enough about the ones that are outright funny. My personal winner is the Barry Allen's first appearance calling all the Golden Age heroes comic books characters, which not only had the confusing question of if there were Batman and Superman comics about the REAL Batman and Superman, but was darn near IMMEDIATELY undone in "The Flash of Two Worlds." It's so unintentionally funny to me.

  11. With its weekly release, the One Piece anime has sort of built a legacy that fans continue to follow. However, you can't deny the fact that even in its best episodes, pacing issues often dampen the excitement of watching. With the recent six-month hiatus, I think it was the perfect opportunity for the anime to adopt a seasonal format. Sigh! Well, at least, there’s “The One Piece” upcoming anime supposedly meant to fix the pacing, which ironically is taking forever to come out.

  12. KPop Demon Hunters is a joy, and has way more full-quadrant appeal than the marketing (or weird lack of it) suggested from Netflix. It’s like Squid Game all over again, where they have so much to market that they can’t back things as they deserve. And the best song is Soda Pop. Obviously. Fight me
