I’ve been a loyal MCU fan since the start. I’ve seen every film in theaters, haven’t missed a single TV Show - including AoS Eps, the week of airing. This has been my thing. …I also can’t ignore the hollow feeling that’s been growing inside me, watching MCU content, since Endgame. I got blips of hope with WandaVision & Loki; SM:NWH and D&W were milestone event moments we all enjoyed… but even the stufff we crown “the best” (SC:AtLotTR) doesn’t feel like it matters or is in my rewatch lineup years later. The Multiverse Saga never came together as a shared story; at this point I don’t see how Doomsday & Secret Wars can provide actual “payoff” in the truest sense…

In this year's Superman movie ... the vibe is clearly against a deconstruction or a dark, brooding take. It returns to the hopeful, heartfelt, and classic take on Superman of old ... and it is working with the fan base. This feels like a direct course correction from the Snyderverse's more conflicted Superman. But does this mean comic books ... which now clearly take their cues from the various cinematic universes, will follow suit? Personally, I hope they do.

Endgame gave us one of the greatest cinematic moments ever with Captain America picking up Mjolnir and him standing alone against Thanos before the portals opened and (nearly) every hero returned. It was years of build-up that paid off in a single line: “Avengers, assemble.” Now Secret Wars has the impossible task of topping that. If it really is the multiversal event everyone expects, the possibilities are wild. Imagine Robert Downey Jr’s Doom facing a council of Iron Men, including a Tom Cruise variant. Or a scene straight out of the comics with Doctor Doom ripping Thanos’ spine out to claim ultimate power. Or Dr. Doom facing off against the intellect of multiple Reed R…

I’ve covered gaming for almost two decades now - and seen a ton of in-development projects get scrapped. There are a few I still think about and wish I could have played. Chief among them: I saw a closed-door developer demo at E3 for Star Wars 1313 - and it looked great. The LucasArts team showed some of that demo footage on SpikeTV. But Uncharted meets Boba Fett is still such a fun concept. What’s one you still think about and/or think was a mistake to have canned?

We all know that the MCU is a bit loose with how they tend to adapt Marvel characters, but some are done better than others. Which character (or characters) do you think the MCU has done the best job of adapting?

Manga is generally not known for its superhero stories, and yet My Hero Academia was actually a really good superhero story that has captured the world's attention. So, with both DC nd Marvel hoping to capture a bigger share of the global audience, as well as maintain its domestic dominance, which is losing out to manga/anime, should they adopt the My Hero Academia model of focusing on the development of teenagers with superpowers into functionally effective young adult superheroes rather than the more traditional adult experienced hero?

I've written a couple of articles on how Marvel is integrating Marvel Rivals into its comic universe, which I think is a practical way to attract video gamers - a comics-adjacent fandom into the fold. However, what do others who are into comics and video games think?

Avengers: Secret Wars has a massive challenge in trying to top Avengers: Endgame. While I trust RDJ's Doom can be even more compelling than Josh Brolin's Thanos, it's the spectacle that would be required to top that final battle in Endgame. I think we could see multiple versions of Avengers, X-Men, F4 teams, with some actors playing multiple roles, or every actor who once played the roles showing up again. But I predict at least we'll see: Sam's Avengers, New Avengerz (Thunderbolts), alt-version of the classic team (with original actors in new costumes) X-Men '97 in Live-Action, Fox X-Men (both OT and First Class groups), Deadpool, Wolverine, and Gambit. MCU F4, Tim…
