June 11Jun 11 CB Team This is always a hot topic imo, but let's get an official poll. What's the best way to watch TV?I think a new hit like Widow's Bay proves that weekly drops of TV are still the best way to watch TV, plus the full season drop of Spider-Noir having come and gone with barely a blip, cements that.
June 11Jun 11 CB Team I'm always pro full drop. I like having the flexibility to watch however much I want and when I want.
June 11Jun 11 CB Team Weekly for me! There's always too much to watch (and read, and play), so I often feel like I miss the moment with full drops. I still haven't finished Spider-Noire, and by the time I do, the internet will already have moved on from it.I don't like the pressure of having to watch everything as fast as possible, and I like it more when I have the chance to watch things in a more leisurely way.
June 11Jun 11 CB Team Also weekly, for the most part - makes things feel like more of an event, builds more conversation, and I remember more about the shows after digesting for a week, which usually means I like them more. Comedies I'm probably more inclined to binge though

Poor Spider-Noir feels left in the dust right now
June 12Jun 12 CB Team Weekly episode drops. I've been trying to watch Spider-Noir while keeping up on movies, watching my Knicks in the NBA Finals, and playing games. There's too much. I still have half of the season to go. Sometimes I won't watch an episode for a couple of days. If it had a weekly release schedule, it'd be much easier to keep up without feeling like I"m falling behind.
Wednesday at 05:56 AM3 days I'm still a major fan of weekly drops - because I love the speculation and watercooler talk. I understand I'm in the minority these days but I don't really like that for a lot of shows, there's so much less (or next-to-no) discussion these days.

Wednesday at 04:53 PM3 days CB Team As an old head, weekly is definitely what I prefer. But funny enough I do also like binging when I really like a show. If I get tired I just take a break for a while and then watch the rest, but if it's good I'll watch it in quick succession. It does hurt when it comes to trying to remember everything when the next season comes out 3 years later tho lol
Wednesday at 08:30 PM3 days CB Team Late to the game here but I also prefer a weekly release. I like having something to look forward to, and if everything drops at once, I tend to rush through it too quickly.
Thursday at 05:56 PM2 days Author CB Team I think it's safe to say that we've settled the debate here, and that everyone should go back to weekly releases.
Friday at 01:11 PM1 day CB Team Controversial opinion here: It depends on the writing. Imo part of the problem is that you should really write differently for a weekly drop and a binge model; for a weekly drop, you want things to chew over, whereas there should be more momentum to binge. Imo the biggest mistake studios and streamers make is assuming they can make shows the same way and choose the model later. The mode should actively shape the writing and production.
