Now that we're at the end of the year and releases have slowed down, I am making my way through some games that I have missed or didn't have time for previously. I am starting to realize my backlog is a bit too unwieldy and I will have to retire them from my backlog. There is just too much to play, and I have come to terms with the fact that I will probably never find the time to finish Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or Baldur's Gate 3, even if I really want to. What games have you shed from your backlog?

With the new Street Fighter movie on the way, I’ve been thinking about the games again. Who is your go-to fighter in Street Fighter? I played Street Fighter 2 nonstop back in the day and ended up learning pretty much every character, but I probably favored Guile the most. You could crouch and send out sonic booms all day, and if anyone tried to jump in or get close, the flash kick took care of it. Simple and effective. Who do you all gravitate toward? Do you stick with the classics like Ryu and Chun-Li, or do you go for the more offbeat fighters?

I've been on a quest this year to finish games that I either got distracted from or couldn't finish due to other games taking priority, and so far I've been able to finish Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Star Wars Outlaws (both awesome by the way, and both deserve far more credit than they received). Now I'm looking to finish up a few other games before 2026, so what game (or games) are you hoping to wrap up before the new year brings even more games? Let me know!

I imagine that you attended the symphony and for the first time ever heard Beethoven's Ninth, culminating in the astonishing power of the Ode to Joy in the fourth movement. The audience erupts in a standing ovation. (That was Avatar 1.) You start to get up, but the lights in the symphony hall go dim again. The orchestra resume their seats, the conductor returns and leads the orchestra into a fifth moments and then a sixth and then a seventh. Much of it sounds familiar, though just different enough to keep you in your seat, if only out respect for the mastery of the Ode to Joy still ringing in your memory.(Avatar 2) At the end of the eighth movement, the audience applauds…

I guess by now everyone has gotten the time to take a look at the new Absolute Batman. I really like how Snyder is doubling down on horror, but I still don't know for sure where he's taking this series... I felt the Bane arc was a bit scattered, and Absolute Batman is lagging behind Super, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter imo.

Now that Fire and Ash is out and people are getting a chance to see it, I thought this would make for a fun topic. Cameron has spoken a lot about how he doesn't know when he'll make Avatar 4 and 5. He recently said there are other films he wants to make and he doesn't want to work exclusively on Avatar for years. After seeing Fire and Ash, do you think he should take a break from Avatar, or just go full speed ahead into the fourth movie? I think it would do him some good to step away for a bit and work on some other things for the time being. I've never been fully invested in the Avatar franchise, but I agree with the consensus that Fire and Ash retreads old ground. Might…
